Course Overview

The School of Medicine is one of the newest schools to be established at Maseno University. It has been developed under close consultations with diverse medical professionals and the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board, and is accredited by the Board to offer medical training in Kenya. The School’s core mandate is to train and produce high quality doctors and other health professionals who are proficient in clinical care, preventive medicine, management of health service and medical research.

How This Course Will Benefit Your Career

The goal of the training programme is to bridge the growing demand for medical doctors who are capable of providing quality clinical care and preventive medicine. Graduates of the School will be equipped with adequate knowledge, skills, professional attitudes and competencies in clinical practice and community health services to provide quality service in Kenya, regionally and beyond. They will also be adequately prepared to undertake health research, and play a significant role in generating new knowledge through prospective research into molecular and cellular aspects of diseases through clinical care and to disease prevention.
