Nakuru Teachers Training College is a fully registered training college with the Kenyan Government under the Ministry of Education (for KNEC program). It provides university courses approved by Laikipia University and taught by university approved lecturers. University exams are moderated, administered and processed by the University.

Since its inception in the year 2010, the college has grown to be a premier educating center in the county, with excellent performances. Nakuru TTC started with a population of 33 students but the figure has been growing steadily every year and presently the institute has over 600 students. This has been due to its affordable fee structure as well as the quality education offered. The college enjoys state of the art e-learning systems from the college, laboratories, a modern library and a well-equipped computer laboratory.

The college offers education in the following areas: Primary Teacher Education (P1), Diploma Teacher Education (S1), ICT Certificate/Diploma for both regular and in-service students. They provide Early Childhood Development Education Certificate/Diploma programs for both regular and in-service students. They also offer ECDE (school based) Certificate/Diploma programmes for both regular and in-service students. Additionally, they provide a Diploma in Education (Arts) and a Bachelors in Education (Arts). Nakuru TTC offers educational programmes that aim at producing all rounded students who are not only highly competitive in the education sector but also possessing the right character and mind to effectively perform management and administrative functions in the institutions.
