The Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics (PAM) has a Charter that has been formulated with an objective of defining who we are, our stakeholders, our customers and also our services and standards (ISO: 9001:2000) whose main aim is to improve service delivery to the customers at the Department. We have also developed benchmarks for the delivery of services so that our customers are aware of what to expect once they come for our services. Once services are provided, the customer will be able to judge whether we have met the standards as stipulated in the service charter and we would appreciate to receive the feedback.

The School of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering (SEEIE) headed by the Dean is one of the four schools under the College of Engineering and Technology (CoETec) which is headed by the Principal. OUR VISION : To be a Global Centre of Excellence in Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering. MISSION : To Produce Globally Recognized Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineers Through Training, Research and Innovation to Meet the Technological Needs of a Dynamic World.

The School comprises three departments: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering and Biomechanical and Environmental Engineering. The undergraduate programmes within the departments are accredited by both the Engineers Board of Kenya and Commission for University Education. Degrees earned in the School provide a wide range of opportunities for the graduates, who become leaders in their chosen careers.

The School of Architecture and Building Sciences (SABS) was established in February 2000. SABS brings together disciplines related to the built and natural environment in an attempt to address the commonly experienced problems in these fields. SABS consists of the following teaching departments.

The school currently consists of two departments: Civil, construction and environmental engineering (CCEE) and Geomatic engineering and geospatial information systems (GEGIS). The school offers engineering degrees both at undergraduate and graduate levels in Civil engineering and in Geomatic engineering and geospatial information systems respectively. The undergraduate programs take five academic years of two semesters each with a design/research project in the final year. These projects allow the students to apply the concept learned to real-world situations.
